E_ACT_NOT_READY
This error indicates that you cannot change the Adobe authorisation of your PC, even after an
authorisation WITHOUT ID.
It is therefore necessary to manually remove the authorisation from the computer.
- Mac:
- In the finder: In the “Go” tab, select “Go to folder”
- Tap on: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and move the activation.dat file to the recycling bin.
- Re-authorise Adobe Digital Editions with its Adobe ID.
- Windows:
- Click on Start > Run. (In Windows 7 or 8, you must use the search function and tap on “executer” or “run”)
- Type “regedit” into the dialog box and press Enter.
- Find the following key “HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Adobe>Digital Editions” and delete the entire folder (right-click on it and click on “Delete”).
- Also find HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Adobe>Adept and delete the entire
folder.
E_ADEPT_DUPLICATE_TRANSACTION_ID
When you encounter this message, it means that your Adobe ID authorisation is no longer recognised by Adobe Digital Editions software. Contact your Customer Service and ask for a reset of your ebook link.
E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED
This error indicates that the acsm file downloaded is too old. The acsm licence files have a limited validity (between 3 and 5 days). They must therefore be opened within this time.
To resolve this problem, delete the acsm and download it again from your customer account. Then
open the file to download the book.
If the problem persists you should make sure that the date, time, and time zone on your device have been configured correctly. You can check this by simply typing the address http://time.is into the support browser.
To change the Date/Time settings on a Vivlio e-reader:
- Go to “Settings”.
- Then to “Date and time”.
- Check that the time zone is correct.
- Then click on “Synchronise time”.
- Also activate “Automatic time synchronisation” by pressing the On/Off button

E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER
This error indicates that the book has already been opened with a different Adobe ID or without an ID on Adobe Digital Editions. It is therefore necessary to check whether the book has previously been opened with another Adobe ID or without an ID on a computer.
- If you have the wrong ID, you must register the correct ID on your device. If it still doesn't work, contact customer service to reset the book(s) in question.
- If you have opened your book with Adobe Digital Editions without an Adobe ID, contact customer service to reset the book(s) in question.
Check which Adobe ID has been used to authorise your device.
